Who We Are
We are an upstart start-up who want to advocate for and to support individuals and families having special needs. Louise and I are blessed to have raised a child with special needs and his twin brother.
Ours was a journey lived a day, a week, a month at a time with the help and support of dedicated professionals and others in similar circumstances. We have learned a great deal along the way and are in a position to share our experience with others. We do not profess to be experts in all forms and degrees of disability (we cannot be) but we have learned some of the questions that need to be asked and how to find the answers.
About This Site
Our goal is that this website be a place where you can come to find information and services to help you deal more effectively with accessibility issues. Over time, the content of the site will grow as we research new topics. We wanted to offer value right from the start, so we went live with our “Assistive Devices Market Place”. Visitors are welcome to use this page to buy, sell, trade, lend or donate used articles.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people with disabilities by providing information to help find answers to questions, make more informed decisions, and find needed resources.
We value the inclusion of people with disabilities and all aspects of daily life. We want to promote things that make a positive contribution to the lives of people with disabilities, improve their inclusion in the community, and remove barriers to access. We hope to identify obstacles to inclusion and to advocate for positive change.
